BACK FROM CAPTIVA ISLAND, FLORIDA

This past week has been amazing! I have just returned from an amazing school at Captiva Island! I had the opportunity to surround myself with this country's top photographers. We all gathered to learn about our newest industry trends, to photograph and to learn new ideas. Needless to say, I came back excited and re-energized!

Most of you all know that I attend several workshops a year to learn new techniques-- get new ideas to stimulate my creative mind! This past week was more than I ever dreamed it could be. I was basically in class or photographing from 8:30 in the morning until midnight every night. I hardly knew if I was coming or going! This school provided us access to models and to the latest and greatest equipment and backgrounds that were at our disposal whenever we wanted! I thought I had and gone to heaven-- It was one big toy store for me! :-)

I am back at work this week--- and more excited than ever--- We are blessed to be busy, and I thank God for that every day! We have sessions every day and every evening for the next couple of months-- and I know that I am going to put to use every bit of what I have learned. I also shopped along the way -- and I have new props and a gorgeous new TUTU for all the little girls!

I am attaching a few portraits that I took while I was in Captiva-- one of our models was nice eye candy---of course I only took his portrait because I wanted to practice ---I will be posting more prints as I get a chance to work on them! A couple of the pictures show the group that I hung around with -- They are phenomenal photographers, and I learned so much from all of them! The rest of the portraits are of models that I had the opportunity to photograph and of course-- Captiva Island was stunning so I had to take a couple of scenics to cure my love of landscape photography! Enjoy!
